Bootcamps happen every Wednesday evening year round with with an average of 40-50 people per session. Every session is different and incorporate traditional bootcamp drills with Crossfit inspired exercises. The group is mostly young professionals, Aussies and expats, and many of us hang out regularly after and outside of the bootcamps. I moved to Sydney from New York where I ran a bootcamp in Central Park. Similar bootcamps cost an average of $180/month, but my motto is simple: Fitness should be …

What: To play some knock about volleyball in the park on Sunday afternoons. No fixed teams, people just show up and join in where the gaps are. The main aim is fun for all. Who: Anyone who wants to run around madly chasing a ball in the park on Sundays. Don't need to be good, enthusiasm is all that's required. Where: Sydney Park in St. Peters. I've bought a net and a couple of balls and scouted a good spot in the park; near the cafe by the old chimney stacks. Basically, if you come in to the …

Based in Sydney, we hold walking and hiking adventures, mainly in National Parks, where the objective is not to be fastest, but to have an enjoyable time on the way; and afterwards. We do not leave people behind by 'regrouping' at regular intervals. Where possible, we include an option to 'bail out' early fo …

Join us as we explore the beautiful national parks, coastline and other stunning natural areas in and around sydney. Have a great day out in the great outdoors! Most walks are relaxing and often involve a cafe or pub visit along the way. All walks are graded (by me) in degree of difficultly, and, unless otherwise specified, open for all to attend. Fitness and experience not necessary unless I have graded a walk 'hard' (or worse!). In summer expect walks on the beaches and around the harbour, and …

The Sydney Social Kayaking group is for those people that enjoy kayaking on the waters around Sydney. Or just to be on the water during those nice hot days. The main location is Rose Bay, due to it's lots of 12hour free parking and nice cafe near the hire place. However there are places at Manly, The Spit and on the Hawksbury that offer good places for a leisurely paddle.
Welcome to my little Inner West group for fellow runners keen to enjoy casual but regular jogs around lovely local locations THIS IS A CASUAL RUNNING GROUP (NOT A DATING GROUP - SO PLEASE DON'T TREAT IT AS ONE) Why did I start this group? As a beginner who has 'dabbled' with a running routine on and off for the past couple of years, I had been searching for a suitable group to join that would motivate me and teach me discipline! (Knowing there is someone waiting for you has always been great mo …

This Group has been established to promote the continued use of George Street Redfern as a precinct for everyone. The Group has been established in response to the Easter Monday notification by the City of Sydney Council that it proposes to create along the eastern side of George Street Redfern a separated cycleway with the removal of at least 12 parking spaces and some existing trees. The proposal will severely affect the existing amenity of this well loved residential area and will endanger pe …

[Note: I started this group after discovering the awesome Writer Together group while living in London. I've copied much of their setup when creating this group for Sydney and I heartily suggest you check them out if you're ever in Ol' London Town] Writing can be difficult and lonely. Sometimes we need to get out and away from our own distractions and excuses. Pubs, cafes and parks are nice but wouldn't it also be good to be part of a group of writers? So let's work quietly together, gently enc …

Legends of the universes, This group is not going to be described with lovely sugarcoated words (not that it is wrong to describe meditation sessions in such way but it is not the way it's coming naturally for us to describe this). So this is a group for people who would like to meditate. The idea is to gather up together in order to share 20 minutes of meditation followed by a brief chat of ideas that can widen our consciousness. We are not aiming to teach how to meditate, selecting your own me …

If you have a good sense of humour and enjoy walking, talking, meeting people, sight-seeing, photography, wining, dining, swimming, barbeques, day trips and weekends away in the country, this would be a good group for you to join. This group is for moms with bubs who enjoy being active in the outdoors. If you enjoy walking, going to parks, going to the beach and swimming and want to do it with a couple of other moms then this is the perfect group for you. I started this group because I love these activities, but was finding it challenging doing it with friends who did not have little babies when I did. I hope that through this group friendships can form in and around the eastern suburbs.

Sometimes there are those days in the week where it would be good to be able to meet up in the park with a group of parents, carers or grandparents while the bubs burn off some energy, mingle and play. The Lower North Shore of Sydney is a beautiful place, spoilt with lots of parks and large shady trees. It's also full of parents and when you look beyond the surface, there are probably more similarities between us than there are differences. Motherhood can be lonely at times. Sharing experiences …

Hello, my name is Rebecca! My husband Timothy, son Mason, and I recently moved to Sydney and we would love to make some new friends and visit some of the many places Sydney has to offer. This group is for families that want to get out, meet new people, and socialise with their kids in tow. I will endeavour to run a mid week play date once a week and a family BBQ day at one of the many parks across Sydney every fourth Saturday or Sunday. As time progresses, we will see what works best for most. H …
